Trendy Tots Tuesday #2- Are you mocc'ing me?

Hello & happy Tuesday, friends! I'm so excited to share with all of you that this week I'm lucky enough to be co-hosting none other than the amazing Trendy Tots Tuesday link up. Some of you may be wondering what that is so I'll give you a little hint.. it has a little to do with tots, and a whole lot to do with incredible fashion forward trends for the little people in our lives. A new friend and fellow mother of mine created what's called a "linky-party" for mothers around the world to connect with each other and share favorite toddler trends. Do you like adorable kiddies? Do you enjoy finding awesome trendy threads for your babe? If so, this is the perfect link-up for YOU.

Fashion: It's always been an interest of mine, and since having my sweet boy has rapidly gone from interest to full blown obsession. Although the hottest trends out there can easily break the bank, I can't help but be drawn to every single one of them. Styling my son is not only a hobby, but a new found passion.

Today I'll be sharing a new favorite outfit of mine and Jonah's. Comfy, affordable and down right trendy!

Outfit details: Chambray button up// Old Navy , "Jesus saves, bro." tee// Riley Clay Designs , Tribal harem shorts// Two Little Kings , Moccasins in color: Weathered Brown// Freshly-Picked

How sweet is this tee? I mean.. really. Riley Clay Designs never fails. We may or may not have one in every style available & you should, too.

Hey Summer, where ya' at? These Two Little Kings harem shorts rock my socks off!

Freshly-Picked moccasins are everything. As a diagnosed mocc addict I feel obligated to let you all know that if your little doesn't yet own a pair in weathered brown he/she is missing out. So go on, order a pair (or three) for your babe. You'll be happy you did, promise.

Mama loves MIMA

Comfort is everything to me. Don't get me wrong, I love for my son to look stylish as often as possible & be up to date on all the coolest trends, but at the end of the day he needs to be comfy before all else. We all know an unhappy babe is no fun- so here's a trendy outfit that'll keep your kiddo looking hip all while staying comfy!

For starters, who doesn't love a super soft tee? I know I do! Graphic tees have been in since... Well, forever. A must have in your tots wardrobe. I purchased this amazing Ramones tee from the wonderful http://instagram.com/noahgrewagain via Instagram. Check her out for some awesome toddler finds.

And can we just take note on how freakin' cute the back of the tee is!? "Hey, HO, let's GO!"

Oh MIMA- you never cease to amaze me. Am I the only mama completely obsessed with MIMA? I'm guessing not. One of the hottest clothing brands for tots all around the world. Focusing on super rad designs made with the softest + comfiest materials, ever. Jonah is wearing the infamous Le Meow pants here & YES, they're as awesome as everybody says they are.

With pockets in the front & a pocket in the back these pants are winning in our home.

And of course, we can't forget a pair of moccs. Jonah is wearing his beautifully made freshly picked moccs in color: steel. Gets yours here http://freshly-picked.com/

I hope you all enjoyed today's OOTD post. Feel free to ask any questions down below. I wish you all a wonderful rest of the week. Thanks for visiting- xo

The magic water recipe- As easy as 1, 2, 3!

Okay okay.. So it's not really "magic water", but it's pretty darn close.

I've always been a water lover- it's by far my favorite beverage. But I know for some , it may be hard to drink as much water necessary to keep the body nourished and in it's healthiest state at all times. I get it, drinking water could get boring. It's tasteless, and unless your dying of thirst.. Let's be honest, an ice cold Cola sounds a lot more appealing.

Since starting my Paleo diet journey this past Monday, I've been doing all I can to make small changes whenever and wherever possible. My water intake being one of them. I love water, but haven't drank nearly enough of it lately. Reason being why I decided to jump on the detox band wagon (again). I've done it a handful of times and found that I've loved it more and more each time. I'm sure you will too if you give it a try! Below I'll list for you the ingredients on how to create your very own belly slimming detox water.

Ingredients:
- 1-2 liters of water
- 1 handful ice cubes
- 1 sliced orange
- 1 sliced lemon
- 1 sliced cucumber (unpeeled)
- 10-15 fresh mint leaves

That's it! Told ya' it was simple. After rinsing and slicing each ingredient, throw everything into a large pitcher and add your 1-2 liters of water. Place it into the fridge and let the water sit over night.

Q: Can I drink the water immediately after making it?
A: Yes, you may drink the water directly after making it, although it's best to let the ingredients infuse into the water over night. It'll be much tastier- believe me!
+ After 24 hours remove the ingredients to avoid bacteria growth/and or molding. Don't worry- it'll take quite a bit of time for that to happen, it's just a precaution. And besides, I'm sure you'll have finished your entire pitcher of "magic water" by then.

You might be curious as to why I personally use these ingredients, and I'll tell you why.

1. Cucumber: contains citrulline which is an amino acid that has been shown to help our liver and kidneys get rid of ammonia which is a by product of the proteins our bodies burn for energy.

2. Water: helps flush toxins and waste through our system while keeping us hydrated.

3. Lemon: stimulates the digestive track so it’s helpful if you have constipation, heartburn, or gas.

4. Mint: helps you digest effectively because it improves the flow of bile from the liver to the gallbladder to the small intestine to break down dietary fats. It also helps relax cramped up stomach muscles.

5. Orange: contains flavonoids in the peel and juice that stimulate the immune system and protects against a fungi/pests while helping to reduce cholesterol levels.

By the way, when I say detox, I'm not saying to stop eating. I still eat regularly (just a lot healthier). Try to avoid anything on the salty side because that will cause the body to retain water, resulting in bloating and puffiness.

What's great about this detox water is that it's mild and effective, unlike many harsh detox's on the market today. It's affordable and you don't need to restrict your overall consumption of it. Drink it whenever you want, as often as you feel necessary! I hope you enjoy this delicious water as much as I do. If you decide to try it let me know how you liked it in the comments below. Thanks for visiting- xo

Mickey, mommies & more- the Instagram meet-up

The weather yesterday was beautiful. With the crazy stormy weather we've been struck with this past week, I was worried about the possibility of having to cancel the mommy meet-up. Thankfully, the sky cleared up and the sun peeked through, just for us.

The meet-up was planned for 12 noon & I may or may not have been late to my own party- whoops. Jonah was having an off morning and mama couldn't find her right ankle boot. It happens, right? Luckily, the lovely mommies that were on time and waiting at Disneyland with their babes were incredibly understanding of why I was late. They entertained themselves for a couple hours until Jonah and I + my good friend Memrie & her son arrived to meet them.... at 1:30pm.

There we're a total of 5 beautiful mommies and 5 scrumptious babies (not counting myself and Jonah) that got the opportunity to meet and get to know each other on a more personal level.

It was amazing.

You know how when you meet somebody you can automatically tell if you're going to get along with them well? If you're going to clash? Or even if you just feel an "off vibe"?

I was extremely worried about how the other mothers would be, considering all the hate and judgement being at an all time high on Instagram lately. But after meeting the mommies, I realized that I was surrounded by one awesome group of gals. They were funny, carefree, easy going & most importantly, non judgemental. I was able to be myself with them right off the bat. It felt as if we had all been friends for years.

As I tried to snap photos as often as I could throughout the day, the babies did have their usual off moments & it became difficult to have my phone on hand at all times. There was even a time (during lunch) where Jonah sprinted out of the restaurant a good FOUR times, which meant I had to wipe the marinara sauce off my mouth as quickly as I could, get up, and chase after him.... with heels on. The looks I got, priceless. Really Jonah? You just can't give mama a break, can you? It gave us all a good laugh the first 3 times, until he broke my pinky nail right off, blood trickling all over the restaurant table- I'll spare you the details. You're welcome.

All in all, it couldn't have turned out better than it did. I'm so incredibly thankful to have met the mommies and babes that I did. I can see amazing friendships forming with them in the near future. We also all decided to make the Disneyland trip once a month- to let loose, catch up & have some Disney FUN.

Mom-stagram meet-up #1: SUCCESS.

Ill share the photos I snapped throughout the day now. Enjoy, and thanks for visiting- xo

Jonah's favorite part of going to Disneyland... the parking structure. He's an odd one. Cute, but odd.

Still in shock that I survived the entire day in heels. But seriously.. how cute are they?

See those beautiful flowers back there? This picture was taken seconds before Jonah began ripping them out by the handful. Boys....

Typical tourist pic. Had to do it.

His shirt reads, "trouble maker". Couldn't be any more fitting.

Ayden insisted on photo bombing.

...and again.

Me- "Memrie! Hurry up, take a picture!" Memrie- "Why? That looks stupid." Me- "Just take it damnit, it's candid!"

Our very first (and only) mommy group photo we took. If only you could hear the photographer's insanely awkward noises he was making in attempt to get every babe to look his way! IT WORKED!

Givin' Pluto smooches, no biggie.

Waiting in the Dumbo line. It was the only ride we got on... the entire day. But by golly, it was the funnest darn ride, EVER.

Bored in line? Take a picture to prove it.

Mommies need a break too.

The view during lunch was breathtaking- obvi.

This, children, is what you call "mommy juice"

"I'll have one strawberry blended marg- double shot please." BEST margarita I've ever had.

One of our appetizers- lobster nachos. Delicious. Scrumptious. Tasty. Everything yummy.

Kiki loved me & I absolutely adored her. My ovaries are aching.. Are yours?

Tram rides are fun... not. Hence this awkward four way selfie to pass time.

I wasn't leaving Disneyland without this cone cup. No, nope, never.

Not sure why I'm totally in love with this photo. Could it be the bruised shins? Or the super rad camo cons?

My failed attempt at taking a cool magic castle photo. A for effort.
